Issue 12 of Carnivore Damage Prevention News has just been published. This thematic issue focuses on conflicts associated with brown bears across Europe. Case studies come from Italy, Spain, Greece, croatia, Slovenia and Switzerland. The conflicts covered include attacks on livestock, beehives and people, as well as vehicle collisions and garbage raiding. Of special interest are a set of proposed guidelines for the recognition of problem bears, and a set of appropriate reactions for each form of conflict.
