Author: John Linnell/Friday, December 7, 2018/Categories: News

The Balkan lynx is one of the most endangered subspecies of large carnivore, occuring only in the mountains of the Western Balkans. Only around 50 individuals persist. A recent article published in the journal Oryx summarises the results of surveys and interviews conducted over the last 10 years in Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo and Montenegro, identifying the areas that are crucial for their future conservation. The article is available to read online free for just the next few weeks.
