Ups and downs for Norwegian wolves

In the last two weeks there has been both good news and bad news for Norwegian wolves. The good news is that Norwegian High Court upheld the convictions against four people who had been accussed of illegal wolf hunting. The court also requested that a lower court reopen a case against a fifth person who had been early found not guilty. [Link]. The bad news is that it looks like there will be a very high wolf hunting quota this year as a response to parliament's recent (in June 2016) confirmation of Norway's very low population recovery goals [Link to Guardian]
